On January 11, 2022, HSPRD Partner Elizabeth Mazur along with Sarah Grady from Loevy and Loevy, spoke at the Chicago Chapter of the National Police Accountability Project (NPAP) via Zoom in a presentation titled “Establishing Monell liability against Wexford post-Dean v. Wexford.” The meeting discussed Dean v. Wexford, an important recent Seventh Circuit decision, and its implications for civil rights attorneys who represent prisoners. Liz and Sarah shared insight about their experiences in cases, strategy, and resources.
