Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd. Shareholder Deane B. Brown has been installed as the new President of the Illinois Bar Foundation (IBF), the charitable arm of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). The IBF’s mission is to ensure meaningful access to the justice system, especially for those with limited means, by giving grants to legal aid agencies throughout Illinois. In addition, through its Warren Lupel Lawyers Care Fund, the IBF provides financial assistance to lawyers who can no longer support themselves due to incapacity.
Deane is the former Chair of the ISBA Bench & Bar Section Council and the ISBA Standing Committee on Professional Conduct, and currently serves on the ISBA Standing Committee on Women and the Law. She is also the Past President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Deane represents executives in employment matters including severance negotiations, discrimination claims and non-compete issues.
