On February 17th, 2022, Shareholder Matt Piers will be presenting a CLE via Zoom for The Arab American Bar Association of Illinois (AABAR) on the impact of voting rights and elections laws on minorities as part of its Diversity and Inclusion series. Presenters will provide a national and local overview of voting rights and election laws and their impact on minority groups, current issues before the federal courts and state legislatures concerning the application of the Voting Rights Act (the “Act”), and the impact of the Act on elections laws in grassroots litigation here in Illinois.
