On October 14, 2016, The Illinois Bar Foundation (IBF) held its 18th annual Gala event at which they honored Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan with the 2016 Distinguished Award for Excellence. HSPRD was a proud sponsor of this year’s event and proud to support our very own Deane B. Brown, Third Vice-President and a Board Gala Co-Chair of IBF.
IBF is the charitable arm of the Illinois State Bar Association which raises funds for distribution to Illinois nonprofit organizations that provide free legal services to those with limited means. The IBF’s mission is to ensure meaningful access to the justice system, especially for those with limited means, and to assist lawyers who can no longer support themselves due to incapacity. Fellows commit to an annual pledge to the IBF over a ten-year period, which funds the IBF’s mission.
