HSPRD was proud to sponsor the American Immigration Council’s Chicago Immigrant Achievement Awards at the 2016 AILA Chicago Midwest Regional Conference held at Radisson Blue Aqua Hotel last week. The award was given to Rahier Rahman for his incredible achievements as an American immigrant entrepreneur this year. The event celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of local immigrants and their advocates. The event also celebrated American Immigration Council’s Creative Writing Contest winner, Kate Cesario, who read her inspiring winning entry. The AIC writing contest was a city and suburb wide contest for 5th graders who wrote essays on the topic “Why I am glad America is a nation of immigrants.”
