HSPRD attorneys Matthew Piers, Juliet Berger-White, Caryn Lederer, and Charlie Wysong represented the relator-plaintiff in a case that settled as part of a $54 million global settlement of multiple cases . The case was brought against Nevada hospice provider Creekside Hospice II, LLC and its corporate parent Skilled Healthcare Group Inc., which were subsequently combined with Genesis Healthcare Inc. Along with co-counsel, HSPRD represented Joanne Cretney-Tsosie, a registered nurse and former clinical manager at Creekside Hospice, who initiated this lawsuit under the qui tam provisions of the False Claims Act.
