Yesterday, the Chicago Tribune ran an article on a class action lawsuit filed by HSPRD alleging wage theft against All Star Amusement, a subsidiary of carnival giant North American Midway Entertainment. The lawsuit was filed in October on behalf of four employees, who are represented by HSPRD attorney Christopher Wilmes. The lawsuit accuses All Star Amusement of not paying the employees for all of the hours they worked at carnivals in Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, and Florida. The lawsuit also alleges that All Star Amusement failed to pay workers overtime pay in Illinois and Kentucky.
