HSPRD Hosts Class to UNAM Law Students and Graduates

On July 27, 2022, Kalman Resnick, the head of HSPRD’s immigration and nationality practice group, taught a class on immigration law and the history, politics, and economics of immigration from Mexico to the United States to a group of law students and law graduates from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City who were participating in a program at UNAM’s Chicago Branch designed to improve the understanding of Mexican law students and lawyers of the U.S. legal system and improve their professional communication skills in English.

“I was impressed by the level of interest of the Mexican lawyers and law students in the dynamics of immigration from Mexico to the United States and the impact of Mexican immigration on both countries.”

Said Mr. Resnick on the outcome of the class.

Mr. Resnick frequently volunteers his time to educate lawyers, law students, elected officials, community activists, and educators about the history, politics, and economics of American immigration law.
