This morning, HSPRD immigration attorney Kalman Resnick appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer to discuss the case of Ruben Torres Maldonado, who was detained by ICE while his teenage daughter is battling Stage 4 cancer.
Mr. Torres Maldonado has lived in the United States since 2003 and is the sole provider for his family, including his 16-year-old daughter Ofelia, who is receiving treatment at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Kalman spoke about the urgent legal efforts underway to secure Mr. Torres Maldonado’s release so he can be by his daughter’s side during her treatment.
