HSPRD is pleased to announce that Shareholder Dina Torrisi Martin will speak at the American Urological Association (AUA)’s 114th Annual Meeting on May 3, 2019. Ms. Torrisi Martin will be a presenter during the “Court is in Session” plenary session, conducting mock examinations to educate urologists about malpractice litigation. Approximately 12,000 urologists from around the world will attend this year’s meeting.
Founded in 1902, the AUA is a premier urologic association, providing invaluable support to the urologic community. Their mission is to promote the highest standards of urological clinical care through education, research and the formulation of health care policy. Ms. Torrisi Martin will provide insight into the legal environment and how to best navigate this foreign terrain as a physician.
Ms. Torrisi Martin is a Shareholder with Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd., and head of the firm’s medical malpractice team. She is an experienced trial attorney defending hospitals and health professionals as well as general corporate liability matters. She also represents health professionals before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation regarding licensing and disciplinary actions. Ms. Torrisi Martin is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, The Society of Trial Lawyers and other professional organizations. Ms. Torrisi Martin has attained the highest rating by her peers and the judiciary, AV Preeminent, by Martindale-Hubbell.
