Andrés Gallegos Presented During American Council of the Blind’s 62th Annual Conference

HSPRD’s leading Disability Rights partner, Andrés Gallegos, presented at the panel “People Who are Blind or Have Low Vision” at the American Council of the Blind’s 62nd Annual Conference and Convention, in Schaumburg, Illinois, where he discussed recent judicial decisions affecting people who are blind and with low vision, and the firm’s disability rights practice. Mr. Gallegos was also a speaker on a second panel during the conference where he discussed the utilization of Structured Negotiation to address disability-based discrimination.

For over 60 years, the American Council of the Blind (ACB) has become a leader in national, state, local and even international advocacy efforts. The ACB is comprised of approximately 70 state chapters and special-interest affiliates representing a diverse range of groups within the blind community, including students, families, teachers, attorneys, governmental employees, entrepreneurs, vending stand operators and the LGBTQ community.
