HSPRD partner Stacey A. Cischke was recently interviewed by author Neil Versel for an article titled, "When EHRs Meet Malpractice Suits: New Concerns". The article addressed the electronic health record as a legal representation of a patient's medical treatment. It was published by InformationWeek Healthcare.Ms. Cisckhe teaches a course in legal issues in e-health at Loyola University Chicago and was interviewed in conjunction with a presentation that she gave at the 2011 Legal EHR Summit sponsored by AHIMA. Her presentation discussed the variables and complexities of e-discovery in litigation pertaining to medical malpractice actions.
