Derek Dominguez is an attorney with Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd. He practices plaintiff’s personal injury, workers’ compensation, and criminal defense.
Mr. Dominguez is a superb and accomplished litigator. As a former Wisconsin State’s Attorney, Mr. Dominguez successfully prosecuted more than two thousand criminal cases including many serious felonies like sexual assault, burglary, kidnapping, drug charges, possession of child pornography, embezzlement, and armed robbery. He has argued in hundreds of contested criminal hearings, countless trials to the court, and twenty-one jury trials. In November 2016, Mr. Dominguez secured a guilty verdict following a lengthy jury trial for a violent armed robbery.
Mr. Dominguez has also litigated several successful appellate cases to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
Mr. Dominguez now works tirelessly to pursue justice for those harmed by the negligent or reckless conduct of another party. His clients include victims of car crashes, improper falls, wrongful death actions, and other negligent conduct. He also litigates to vigorously protect the rights of workers injured on the job, as well as anyone accused of a criminal offense.
Derek grew up in Orland Park, Illinois. Outside of the courtroom, he enjoys running marathons and spending time with family and friends.
