On Thursday, October 24th, Kalman Resnick who leads our immigration and nationality practice group, was among the speakers invited to participate in a workshop in Guatemala entitled, “Los desafios de la movilidad humana y los DDHH Guatemala – Honduras – El Salvador – Mexico: Construyendo nuestra propia agenda.” The objective of the workshop was to discuss among academic experts and community organizers how to integrate a development plan for countries like El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico that includes better immigration and refugee policies within those regions. The workshop also focused on defining effective ways to implement protection rights for migrant workers and asylum petitioners.
