HSPRD’s Kendra H.M. Scheuerlein Presents Training at the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services

Attorney, Kendra H.M. Scheuerlein, in her role as co-chair of the American Immigration Lawyer Association (AILA) Detained Services Committee, through the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) trained volunteer attorneys on the steps of bond representation in immigration court so that they can handle limited scope bond cases on a pro bono basis. Trainings like these are incredibly important for our communities, as immigrants released on bond have a much greater chance of succeeding on their final case than immigrants who are detained throughout the entirety of their removal proceedings.
