HSPRD is pleased to announce Matthew Arnold has joined the firm as a Partner. Matt brings to HSPRD 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry representing hospitals, physicians, clinics, nursing homes, and healthcare professionals in a variety of medical malpractice and professional liability matters, including trying dozens of cases to verdict, successfully arguing in the federal courts, Illinois Appellate and Supreme Court and regulatory boards.
Matt has over a dozen published supreme and appellate decisions including Sullivan v. Edward Hospital, 209 Ill.2d 100 (2004), which is one of the most cited cases in Illinois for proper expert disclosure. Sullivan v. Edward Hospital also established for the first time in the nation a separate legal standard of care for nurses.
