HSPRD partner Adam Snyder led a discussion on new perspectives in digital liability as part of Nursing Grand Rounds at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The talk included examples of how email, text messaging, and social media can be misused and increase the chances of negative outcomes in patient care and litigation. Real world cases were discussed, as well as strategies on how to manage the many communication tools that are available to clinicians in and outside of the hospital.
