HSPRD Partner Derek Dominguez and his band Coyote Heavy rocked the stage and took first place at the Illinois Bar Foundation’s Battle of the Bands.
HSPRD was a proud sponsor, and this competition brought together musical talent from across the legal community in support of a great cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit statewide programs of the Illinois Bar Foundation as well as juvenile justice initiatives supported by the M. Denny Hassakis Fund.
This year’s competition featured a distinguished panel of judges, including Greg Guy, son of Chicago blues legend Buddy Guy, and Mary Lane, a Hall of Fame blues artist. Coyote Heavy took home both Best Band and the Fan Favorite award—an honor determined by audience vote.
