Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (“UNAM”) awarded HSRPD attorney, Kalman D. Resnick, its Reconocimiento Alfonso Garcia Robles medal for his legal defense of immigrants at a ceremony in Mexico City. Mr. Resnick received the award together with Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers Union; Eric Garcetti, the Mayor of Los Angeles; Angelica Salas, the Executive Director of Coalition for Human Immigrant Rights (“CHIRLA”) and the Americans Civil Liberties Union. Alfonso Garcia Robles, a Mexican Diplomat, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1982 for his advocacy of a nuclear disarmament agreement in the Western Hemisphere. Mr. Resnick is the shareholder in charge of HSPRD’s immigration practice group.
