Ms. Cota began her legal career in Chicago, where she litigated complex personal injury, product liability, and medical malpractice cases in both state and federal courts. She handled matters from intake through resolution and negotiated favorable settlements on behalf of her clients.
During law school, Ms. Cota worked in the University of Oklahoma’s Office of General Counsel and its Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Department. Following graduation, she completed a postgraduate internship with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), where she worked in the governance department.
Ms. Cota earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was a Dean’s Leadership Fellow, a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll, and a Hispanic National Bar Association Scholar. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma, where she captained the Division I Women’s Soccer Team.
