What You Need To Know About USCIS Announcement On H-1B Cap For FY2019

USCIS announced that it has completed the H-1B Cap random selection process for FY2019.  There were 190,098 H-1B cap-subject petitions filed this year for the 65,000 standard H-1Bs available, plus an additional 20,000 for holders of U.S. advanced degrees. This is a slight drop from last year.

Employers should expect to wait several weeks before hearing whether their petitions were selected in the H-1B random selection process. If your petition was not selected, the HSPRD immigration team can help you evaluate whether there might be alternatives available.
