The Monsignor Romero award is given to an individual who has demonstrated distinguished work and tireless effort to promote the rights and dignity of immigrant & refugee populations. The commitment of honorees to leading their community embodies the ideals of human rights leader, the Salvadorian Archbishop Monsignor Romero, who is celebrated as the Voice of the Voiceless.
We are also pleased to sponsor the annual fundraising event and support Centro Romero in its mission. Centro Romero works with immigrant and refugee populations primarily on the Northside of Chicago, helping them achieve self-sufficiency.
