HSPRD’s Ian Wagreich has been named the Chair of the International Medical Graduate Taskforce (IMGT) Liaison Committee. The IMGT is a group of legal professionals who are dedicated to helping Americans in rural and other physician-shortage areas obtain the basic medical services they so desperately need and deserve. Among other goals, IMGT strives to improve the path that international medical graduates who have completed training in the U.S. must follow to become legally authorized to begin or continue their medical careers in the United States. As the Chair of the Committee, Ian will be responsible for meeting with and maintaining communication the various government agencies involved in providing benefits to and regulating International Medical Graduates. Ian will also be leading efforts at maintaining and developing relationships between the IMGT and other associations involved with international medical graduates, such as the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Immigration Council.
Ian Wagreich is a partner at HSPRD and has been focusing on business-related immigration law for nearly twenty years and is nationally recognized as a leading voice in that area.
