On November 5, 2015, Deane B. Brown, a partner in the Chicago law firm of Hughes Socol Piers Resnick Dym, Ltd., will be one of seven women to be awarded the Top Women Lawyers In Leadership Award from the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. The Award is given to outstanding women lawyers serving in a leadership role who have excelled in their chosen legal field and who have gone beyond traditional mentoring to create new pathways for other women. Deane, who has been practicing law for 25 years, focuses on representing executives in employment law disputes including severance negotiations, discrimination claims, and non-compete issues. She also practices in the areas of business litigation and professional responsibility.
